BOARD TECHNOLOGY
Core: 1.9pcf Premium PP (A PP core of a 1.9 density is the industry standard for high performance bodyboards. This core material is designed for ultimate speed and projection. Its durability is unrivalled by any other core. Lightweight and rigid, this core will perform exceptionally well in warmer waters where other cores become slow and unresponsive).
Stringer: 2x Staggered PRS Carbon Fibre Stringers (Exclusive to the Lackey model, a bodyboard with 2x PRS Staggered Stringers utilises strength where it is needed. Offering more strength in the nose of the board [where a dropknee rider is to place his front foot] . Due to the angled PRS stringers, the Staggered System is a fundamental feature in any high performance DK board. To furthermore benefit a superior flex, we’ve utilised their Precision Recoil Stringer technology. Precision Recoil Stringer [also known as PRS] is a tapered carbon fibre stringer. The PRS is wider and stiffer at the tail of the board, and becomes narrower and more flexible as it gets closer to the nose and centre of the board. This stringer works with the core adding spring like recoil in the nose while maintaining stiffness in the tail, the perfect combination for board projection and speed).
Deck: Lackey designed Contoured Cellu-cushion 8lb PE Deck (8lb Polyethylene is the most superior form of deck skin for any bodyboard offering sufficient strength to ensure a longer lasting board. The Matt Lackey designed Contour allows your body to lock with your board when riding, ensuring the board is comfortable to ride and hold.)
Skintec Inlay: The most advanced compression cell technology ever developed for professional bodyboarding. The multi-layered Polymer composition is added under the deck skin of the board to allow for the skin to absorb pressure and impact compressions, creating increased strength & recoil making for a more responsive performance board. Skintec technology is only found in elite bodyboards).
Slick: DuPont Surlyn Slick (A Surlyn Slick is your only choice for slick if you demand the greatest amount of response and durability from your board. This high performance slick is the finest grade Surlyn made only by DuPont. Featuring an elastic-like quality to reduce the chance of creasing and damaging without minimising projection).
Rails: 50/50 Chine Double Rails (A rail design enabling a comfortable grip for holding the rails of the board when riding).
Channels: Yes (2 channels on the bottom of the board located at the tail to ensure stability and control on the face of the wave)
Tail: Full Crescent Tail (Provides superior control and hold on the wave face while also allowing for ease of rail to rail transitions and release from carves and spins.)
